Origin: Rio Paraguay and Guaporé basins in Brazil, Bolivia and Argentina.

Feeding: Flake Food

Behaviour: Community Fish but are fin nippers and as so should not be kept with fish that have bright colourful/ long tails e.g Guppies. Lives in groups of 6-8 with similar sized boisterous fish otherwise if numbers are low Black Widows can start to harass weaker fish.

Comments: Black Widow Tetra are very hardy fish and make a great addition for single species tanks or tanks with hardy boisterous fish.
