Behaviour: Frendly and non-aggresive towards people, cannot be kept with fish!

Comments: As the name suggests, the Sharp Ribbed newt has the ability to push it’s ribs through it’s sides, causing little harm to the newt itself. This is a form of defense against predators, but completely harmless to humans. These poison coated ribs create a nasty sting, injecting toxins through the thin skin in predator’s mouths. The newt also has a highly effective immune system which means the pierced skin heals quickly without infection.
